Lisa Chopp

As my journey in life continues three things remain most important: faith, hope and love.

Faith in my God, allows me to be who I was created to be, an artist. I earned my bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree (BFA) from Ursuline College, in Cleveland, Ohio in 1981 and studied under master artist Richard Treaster. During this time period, my development of pencil drawing , watercolor and oil painting was strengthened.

Sometime after college, I lost the heart attitude to draw or paint.  Now thirty (30) years later, after raising my family and moving to Houston,TX., I have found myself back in art!  (PTL!)  I am a member of The Woodlands Art League, and the American Women Artists Association.  My hope is to continue to develop my painting and drawing skills bringing them to another level.

I am blessed by God with the love and support of my family, who continue to encourage me to keep my heart open to sharing art.  If I can create something of value that will be a lasting symbol of love, then my work has true meaning.
