Join us for an evening of Art & Wine in celebrating the work of Anthony A. Gonzalez

October 4th 5p-7:30p

Anthony Gonzalez is a native of San Antonio, Tx who has been painting professionally for the past 30 years. He currently works from his studio, his paintings extend across many traditional subjects in landscape, still life, portraiture, and figurative. He works primarily in oils and his work is representational with the female figure as the primary subject matter. His work is focused on the expressions and attitudes of women. The models he hires for his paintings must be able to express these attitudes. Anthony shares his knowledge and skill with other aspiring artists and students by conducting demonstrations in oil, drawing, and watercolor. His mission is to paint and enjoy the passion of painting expressions and attitudes and hope that others will enjoy the results of that passion.

Silent Auction Fundraiser

Saturday's July 12th & July 19th

We in Old Town Spring want to help the family of Fallen Hero Daniel Groover so we have decided to donate a portion of the proceeds of all sales the next two Saturdays to Daniel Groover's family. Almost the entire town of Old Town Spring is participating in the fund raising somehow. Many of the restaurants are giving 10% of their proceeds for the next two Saturdays, some shops are giving 10--15% of what we sell plus 100% of the silent auction pieces and donations to the fund. We will start the silent auctions this Saturday in each shop, carry it on all week and choose the highest bidders next Saturday night.

Rainmaker Hydrangea and Peony Container Garden by Nancy Medina

Two new Artists Davis Gallery:

Tigran Tsitoghdzyan and Arturo Samaniego.

“People are my landscape,” contemporary artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan explains. “I’m just an observer. I love being lost in the crowd and feeling anonymous.”  Tigran

"From my first art classes at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico when I was a teenager, I knew I wanted to be an artist," Samaniego says. But after obtaining degrees in Art and business from the University of Texas, he put his artistic aspirations on hold to pursue opportunities in the computer hardware business. “My heart was never in the business world,” he now admits. “I was always frustrated that my artwork came second. I felt I could produce much better work if I could devote my full energy to it.”
